X-RAID2 – is a RAID management system based on Linux LVM,
which is used in NETGEAR ReadyNAS systems.
X-RAID2 technology allows to expand a storage using disks of different sizes thus maximizing usable storage capacity.
Synology has a similar system called Synology Hybrid RAID
