QNAP

QNAP (Quality Network Appliance Provider) - the company which produces NAS devices and NVRs.

QTS

QTS is an operating system based on the Linux kernel which is developed by the QNAP Inc. for their NAS devices.

QuTS hero

QuTS hero is an operating system based on the ZFS which is developed by the QNAP Inc. for their mid level NASes and enterprise storage devices.

Quantum

Quantum - the hard drive manufacturer famous by its Quantum BigFoot 5.25" hard disks. In 2001 the company sold its hard drive department to Maxtor.

Quick format

Quick format - a type of the format process when data is not deleted, but only pointers to data are erased (after such format data can be recovered). See also complete format.

Quick scan

Quick scan - an approach in data recovery where only the areas most likely to contain useful data are scanned by the recovery software.

Quota

Quota - a disk space usage limitation set by a system administrator.
